На MWC2014, как я уже отмечал в публикациях ранее, одной из наиболее интересных тем были показы вендорами и операторами возможностей агрегации частот.
Агрегацией двух несущих уже никого не удивишь, поэтому интерес привлекали демонстрации дальнейших вариантов агрегации - трех несущих (до 450 Мбит/с), двух несущих 3GPP и нелицензируемого спектра (600 Мбит/с) или, скажем,
трех несущих FDD и одной несущей TDD.
Именно этот вариант агрегации показывала на MWC2014 компания Huawei совместно с испанской Vodafone.
У Vodafone Spain на сегодня есть 2х50 МГц в диапазонах band 3, band 7 и band 20, а также еще 20 МГц в диапазоне band 38, поэтому для оператора такая необычная схема агрегации, как FDD + TDD, это не просто интересный тест, но и практическая необходимость, обещающая интересные перспективы при переходе на LTE-A.
На выставке компания Vodafone показывала, что за счет агрегации имеющихся в ее распоряжении диапазонов, могут достигаться скорости вплоть до 500 Мбит/с.
Напомню, высокие пиковые скорости конвертируются в рост пропускной способности сети, рост средних скоростей, доступных абонентам сети. Разумеется, не ранее, чем им будут доступны абонентские устройства, способные работать в режиме интеграции четырех несущих. Пока что такие устройства не выпускаются, но ситуация может измениться уже в 2014-2015 году.
Vodafone готовится к запуску LTE-A CA Cat.6 в Мадриде в 2014 году. Компанию сдерживает то, что регулятор еще не полностью высвободил частоты 800 МГц, которые принадлежат компании, от других пользователей. С мая 2013 года компания оказывает услуги LTE в нескольких крупнейших городах Испании, включая Мадрид и Барселону.
Таким образом, можно констатировать, что базовые решения для агрегации различного числа несущих LTE-A CA могут сегодня представить все основные вендоры - Ericsson, Huawei, NSN, Alcatel-Lucent.

Huawei and Vodafone jointly unveil world's first FDD and TDD Convergence Carrier Aggregation at Mobile World Congress

Following the successful demonstration of the world's first LTE-A HetNet Carrier Aggregation (CA) at Mobile World Congress 2013, Vodafone and Huawei are poised to mark another milestone in the development and commercialization of LTE-Advanced network technology by achieving a single user peak downlink speed of more than 500Mbps - the world's fastest, at this year's MWC. The demonstration, involving 3 FDD carriers and 1 TDD carrier, will shed light on the unprecedented speed and capacity LTE FDD and TDD CA is capable of delivering to end users.
Carrier Aggregation answers the quest by operators in search of solutions to effectively utilize existing spectrum assets for greater capacity by combining multiple carriers to significantly improve utilization of spectrum resources, peak user data rates and throughput. Vodafone currently has 800MHz, 1800MHz, and 2600MHz, a total of 50MHz spectrum bandwidth in FDD mode and 20MHz of 2600MHz in TDD mode in Spain. This latest breakthrough in FDD+TDD Carrier Aggregation technology will boost Vodafone's network capacity in the country and enable the operator to have more flexibility in deploying 2CC and 3CC CA solutions in the future.
Vodafone first rolled out its 1800MHz and 2600MHz commercial LTE services in the main cities of Spain at the beginning of 2013, with a peak speed of 150Mbps/user. With this successful trial of the FDD+TDD Carrier Aggregation solution with Huawei, Spain is set to be one of the "fastest" digital countries in the world.

LTE-A FDD+TDD Carrier Aggregation was developed jointly by Vodafone and Huawei. The technology significantly improves utilization of spectrum resources, increases peak user data rates and throughput, and reduces operator deployment and operation costs. It is expected to revolutionize user experience by allowing networks to meet bandwidth requirements of data-heavy applications, establishing an industry milestone and demonstrating Vodafone and Huawei's leadership in LTE-Advanced network innovation.
